The Pad-ticulars

For postpartum, urinary incontinence, or any exceptionally heavy flow that just needs more absorbency and coverage than can be accommodated by standard pads. One Personal Pad replaces approximately 200 disposable incontinence pads, saving you up to 80% over the cost of disposables. Flannel-topped pads are recommended for heavier flow use, such as Personal Pads, as they have a bit of a quicker flow uptake than regular cotton-topped pads.

Materials

100% cotton, organic cotton, or flannel top. high-absorbency cotton sherpa/flannel central layering. Breathable, leak-resistant Polartec barrier fleece backing. Winged pads have flannel wing tabs with white resin KAM snaps. Personal Pads have the wing tabs sewn to the back due to their unique design. Wing tabs and fleece backing vary in colour, depending on availability.

Unique Design Feature

Personal Pads have an hourglass design for added coverage front and back, featuring leak-resistant side gussets to prevent overflow. Extra centre layering with channel stitching for stability, comfort, and maximum centralised absorption with three times more centre absorbency layering than Classic and Ultra Pads gives these pads amazing leak protection. You won't believe how trim these fit, even with all that amazing protection. Easy to use, easy to change out, easy to care for. Though Classic Pads have the wing tabs sewn to the front of the pad (to form a gentle contoured shape when wrapped around to the underside), Personal and Ultra Pads have the wing tabs sewn to the back due to their unique design.

Designed large for heavier incontinence issues, for mild stress incontinence (leaking when sneezing, coughing, etc.) the Classic or Ultra Pads may be a better option.

What stops your pads from leaking through?

High-absorbency, double-brushed flannel comprises the inner absorbency layering of my pads. They’re more absorbent than disposables, and the fleece backing is a breathable, leak-resistant layer that keeps moisture locked in the pad. Many cloth pad makers use non-breathable PUL (polyurethane laminate) as their leak barrier. I use only breathable Polartec fleece as the leak barrier in my pads, the same quality fleece used in high-end sports wear.
