Suggested Uses Feminine Wipes Softer and gentler on those delicate feminine parts, especially beneficial during menses when you're more sensitive. Cloth feminine wipes keep you cleaner and fresher feeling much more than TP ever could. Wash them right along with your cloth feminine pads. If you experience feminine itching or dryness, try using cloth wipes during sensitive times to help ease the discomfort. Regular TP can irritate and contribute to dryness which makes those times even more uncomfortable. Dampening the cloth wipe with warm water and using it as a warm compress can also benefit. Hand Cloths A great alternative to paper towels (or soggy hanging bathroom hand towels). Keep a bunch in a little basket in the bathroom and use a fresh one at each hand washing/drying. Toss the used one into a little wicker basket or holder kept next to the sink on the floor and at wash time just dump them all into the washing machine. Family Wipes If using in place of TP just toss into a lidded container until ready to launder. Soft, comfortable, economical and easy! If completely replacing toilet paper with wipes is more than you would want to contemplate, consider just using them just for urine instead. Imagine how much TP you’d save if you just patted dry with a cloth wipe instead. Bidet Cloths Use to gently pat dry after bidet use. Napkins Use in place of disposable table napkins and just wash right along with the rest of the laundry. Hankies Nothing beats the gentleness of a soft flannel hankie compared to paper tissues. Paper tissues, no matter how soft they feel, are still made of wood fibres and are loaded with chemicals (consider the process it takes to make them into tissues, including bleaching). They irritate and abrade your skin. So consider pampering yourself with soft gentle cloth instead. Paperless Towels The paper towel alternative. Rather than throwing away paper towels day after day, why not use cloth “paperless” towels instead that you use, wash and reuse for years. I keep mine in a basket on the kitchen counter so they’re always in easy reach. They’re so much more absorbent and take care of the heavy duty cleanups like no paper towel ever could. Plus, you save a ton of money over the costs of throw-away paper towels. Skin Care / Makeup Removal Soft and gentle on your skin, can be washed and reused over and over and over. Use them to remove makeup, clean facial skin, apply facial creams...anything for which you would regularly use disposable pads. Treat yourself to softness and luxury at a huge savings to your pocketbook. Baby Wipes Fill a spray bottle or squirt bottle with solution. Apply directly to wipe or baby’s bottom. 2 cups water 1 tbsp baby oil 1 tbsp baby shampoo If you prefer to use warm water/solution on your baby, try keeping it in a thermos at the change station in baby's room. A great style of thermos to use for this is the kind that has the push button on the top to release fluid from the spout (the type that a lot of convenience stores use). Quick Tip I like to give the sink area a quick wipe after drying my hands with the cloth before tossing it into the basket...keeps the sink area looking nice all the time! Also, it’s a nice option to apply different prints for different uses for those who may be a bit squeamish about cross-using the cloths, ie. not wanting to get the cloths generally used for feminine wipes mixed in with the cloths generally used for napkins, etc...though once laundered, all cloths come out perfectly clean and can be used for any purpose.
